Job summary

Whitetail Club in McCall, Idaho is seeking a hands-on golf course maintenance worker. You will perform landscape upkeep, bunkers maintenance, mowing and set-up for daily play, using hand tools and small machinery.

Qualifications

• 3 months of experience at a high-end hotel, resort, or private club preferred.
• Prior knowledge of golf maintenance and equipment operation is preferred.
• General Math Skills including addition, subtraction and multiplication preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively with managers, guests, members, coworkers, and external service providers.

Responsibilities

• Perform general landscape maintenance using hand held equipment autonomously.
• Rake and maintain sand bunkers and assist with edging, trimming and mowing using small machinery.
• Golf Course maintenance, weeding and debris cleanup.
• Operate walking equipment in mowing greens collars and tees.
• Assist with golf course setup procedures; prune and plug as needed.
• Prepare soil beds for sod, seed and vegetative material.
• Assist with fertilizer applications on tees, fairways and rough areas.
• Operate utility vehicles and riding equipment for hauling material, mowing and debris removal.
• Operate sod cutter, trencher, tamper, dump truck and tractors for project work.
• Operate equipment safely and be aware of coworkers and work areas.
• Maintain flexibility to take on new tasks as directed by the Department Manager.
• Incorporate safe work practices in job performance.

Requirements

WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL:

• 3 months of experience at a high-end hotel, resort, or private club preferred.
• Prior knowledge of golf maintenance, familiarization and knowledge of equipment operation and the tools necessary in golf course construction and maintenance work preferred.
• General Math Skills including addition, subtraction and multiplication preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively with and receive information from managers, guests, members, coworkers, and external service providers.
