Job description

The Greenskeeper works collaboratively with all staff members in the maintenance and care of turf equipment to ensure optimal performance and course conditions. This role requires a professional and driven individual who consistently operates with high standards of efficiency and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Greens Section Work
• Fix ball marks.
• Mow greens.
• Hand rake bunkers.
• Blow debris.
• Hand rake cart paths.
• Walk mow tees and collars.
• Walk mow rough around greens and bunkers.
• Fill tee and fairway divots.
• Clipping disposal.
• Triplex mow approaches and runoffs.
• Mow fairways.
• Mow primary rough.
• Rotary mow green and tee surrounds.
• Spot water fairways/rough.
• Pump water from the golf course.
• Native work.
• Perform other duties as needed.

Requirements

• Demonstrate time management skills, with the ability to complete essential tasks promptly before daily play begins.
• A clear understanding of the operational and performance expectations for turf maintenance equipment, particularly within a high-level private facility.
• Must be motivated by demanding work environment.
• Weekends, holidays, and evening work.
• Valid Driver's License.
• Reliable and predictable attendance is required.
• Strong interpersonal and oral communication skills.
• Must be able to frequently sit, stand, bend, use hands to handle or feel, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl and walk.
• Ability to lift 50lbs, and to lift overhead and push or pull lighter objects.
• Ability to develop and maintain awareness of occupational hazards and safety precautions; skilled in following safety practices and recognizing hazards.
