Job summary

Sydney R Marovitz Golf Course in Chicago, IL is seeking a part-time Greenskeeper for a seasonal position lasting up to 6 months. As an associate of Troon, you’ll help maintain the course to provide a positive experience for members and guests while growing your knowledge of golf operations.Pay is $19.50 to $20.00 per hour, with eligible benefits including healthcare, 401(k) with employer match, and paid leave in line with Illinois and Chicago ordinances.

Responsibilities

• Maintains clean and organized work areas on the golf course and maintenance facility
• Mows greens, approaches, fairways, rough, tees and other areas
• Waters tees, greens and fairways; operates irrigation heads in dry areas needing additional water
• Repairs the irrigation system, pipes and irrigation heads as necessary
• Grades and prepares soil base, lays sod and seeds greens, tees and fairways
• Trims and prunes hedges and shrubbery; cleans flower beds
• Applies pesticides and fertilizer to the golf course
• Performs related duties as assigned by supervisor or manager

We are seeking a motivated individual who is interested in contributing to a positive experience for our members and guests while continuing to grow their knowledge of golf club operations. As an associate of Troon, you will contribute to a global leader in golf and community management.

Role Type:

Seasonal (Position will last 6 months or less)

Compensation:

$19.50 - $20.00 per hour
