Job summary

Edgebrook Golf Course in Chicago, IL is seeking a motivated Full-Time Grounds Crew for a seasonal six-month position. Pay ranges from $17.75 to $18.00 per hour, with benefits including healthcare and a 401(k) plan with employer matching.

Duties include mowing, irrigation, landscaping, and general course maintenance. The ideal candidate will maintain clean work areas, operate mowing equipment, apply chemicals, and assist with soil preparation and seeding.

Qualifications

• Must be able to design, coordinate, and maintain landscaping on the golf course.
• Experience operating greens/fairway mowers preferred.
• Must be able to create spray programs for greens, tees, fairways, roughs, and landscaping.
• Must be able to operate all tools and equipment related to golf course operations.

Responsibilities

• Maintains clean and organized work areas on the golf course and maintenance facility.
• Mows greens, aprons, fairways, roughs, tees, and other areas.
• Waters tees, greens, and fairways; operates irrigation heads in dry areas needing additional water.
• Repairs the irrigation system, pipes and irrigation heads as needed.
• Grades and prepares soil base, lays sod and seeds greens, tees, and fairways.
• Trims and prunes hedges and shrubbery; cleans flower beds.
• Applies pesticides, herbicides, and fertilizers to the golf course.
• Perform other duties assigned by the supervisor or manager.
