Job summary

The City of Boynton Beach is seeking a dedicated turf and grounds maintenance worker to maintain the City’s golf course, including mowing, irrigation, fertilization, and landscaping tasks. The role supports course sustainability and public safety through proper maintenance and operation of equipment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or valid equivalent.
• Must maintain, possess or attain CPR/First Aid certification within 90 days of hire.
• Experience and/or training involving golf course maintenance, turf management, landscaping, or grounds maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Operate tractors, mowing equipment, and other gear to maintain the golf course greens, fairways, and roughs.
• Apply fertilizers, herbicides or other agents as appropriate and manage irrigation systems for water supply.
• Assist with landscaping around the golf course, planting trees and shrubs, spreading mulch, and maintaining flowerbeds.
• Perform grounds maintenance including cleaning, repairs, and ensuring safety and cleanliness of facilities and access paths.
• Assist with small construction projects related to course design and maintenance, coordinating with supervisors.
• Operate a variety of vehicles and tools and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
