Job summary

The City of Boynton Beach is seeking a dedicated grounds maintenance worker to care for the golf course and surrounding property. You will operate tractors and mowing equipment, apply turf care products, and help with irrigation and landscape upkeep to keep the course in top condition.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, CPR/First Aid certification within 90 days, and experience in golf course maintenance or landscaping.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Must maintain, possess or attain CPR/First Aid certification within 90 days of hire.
• Experience and/or training in golf course maintenance, turf management, landscaping, or grounds maintenance preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate tractors and mowing equipment to maintain the golf course.
• Apply fertilizers, herbicides, and other agents as needed.
• Install and adjust irrigation systems to ensure adequate water supply.
• Assist with aeration, top dressing, and turf reseeding.
• Maintain landscaping: trees, shrubs, flowerbeds; mulch and weed control.
• Perform general grounds maintenance and repairs; ensure safety and clean facilities.
• Communicate with supervisors and golf staff to coordinate work.
