Job summary

Little Leaf Farms in McAdoo, PA seeks an Operations Manager to oversee the 10-acre greenhouse production, ensuring products are produced efficiently to meet quality standards and shipped on time.

The role requires managing 50+ manufacturing staff, implementing SOPs and GMPs, and driving cost, waste, and KPI improvements. A Bachelor's degree in a related field is required; Master’s preferred, with Lean/Six Sigma exposure and bilingual English/Spanish a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience.
• Direct management of 50+ individuals in a manufacturing setting.

Responsibilities

• Manage ~100-person team to deliver high-quality product at the lowest possible cost.
• Identify and address operating challenges to continuously improve the operations.
• Coordinates with maintenance, sanitation, and other personnel as needed to achieve desired operational performance.
• Accountable for production cost, labor utilization, waste, line efficiencies, raw material usages.
• Ensure that standard operating procedures and GMPs are implemented and adhered to consistently.
• Keep accurate and up-to-date records (i.e., time sheets, downtime records, absentee records, etc.).
• Enforces all company policies in a fair and consistent manner.
• Produce and report daily/weekly KPIs to illustrate business trends.
• Willingness to be on-call and respond to emergency situations as needed.
• Expected to adhere to safe work practices, maintain sanitary conditions, and ensure that product quality is maintained.
• Maintain a positive work atmosphere to get along with customers, clients, co-workers, and management.
