Job summary

Altman Specialty Plants is seeking a Dock/Forklift Operator in Granville, IL to safely load, unload, and move plants and materials throughout the greenhouse and shipping areas.

You will operate forklifts, stage products, and coordinate with Shipping, Production, Receiving, and other departments to ensure accurate, efficient material movement while maintaining a clean, organized workspace and adhering to safety policies.

Qualifications

• Forklift operation experience or certification preferred.
• Experience in warehouse, shipping, receiving or greenhouse settings.
• Ability to read basic shipping/receiving docs and inventory records.
• Strong emphasis on safety, accuracy, and timely material movement.
• Able to work in a fast-paced, seasonal environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklifts and material-handling equipment to move plants and materials.
• Load and unload trucks, trailers, and deliveries safely and efficiently.
• Verify items against shipping and receiving documentation.
• Stage products per schedules and organize inventory locations.
• Maintain clean, safe dock and work areas and report hazards.
