Job summary

GH Group, Inc. in Carpinteria, CA is seeking a Cultivation Operations Supervisor to oversee the cultivation team and ensure timely completion of all tasks in the greenhouse.

The position requires 1–2 years of greenhouse experience and 2–3 years in a supervisory role, with a 40-hour minimum work week, weekend and on-call availability. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and data reporting is expected.

Qualifications

• At least 1-2 years of experience in a greenhouse environment.
• At least 2-3-years’ experience in a supervisory role.
• Must be 21+ years old.
• Flexible availability for work hours.
• Ability to maintain a positive attitude.
• Ability to efficiently collect and report data.
• Capable of effectively utilizing employee strengths to complete daily and weekly tasks.
• Must be detail-oriented with excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.
• Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Requires prioritization and multi-tasking.
• Able to direct employees, assess the amount of work that needs to be done daily and create a daily schedule for employees.
• Must be extremely flexible in the case of upper management decisions, and able to change plans on the fly.Must be computer literate (Microsoft Office)
• Must be a self-start work independently and direct team.
• This position requires a 40-hour minimum work week.
• Willingness to work weekends and be on call for emergencies.
• Ability to work in conditions typically found in a greenhouse with high humidity and varying temperatures, with a fair amount of moisture present.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and complete all tasks requested.
• Schedule work assignments, set priorities, and direct employee work.
• Determine number of workers and schedule activities.
• Prepare materials and coordinate with maintenance to ensure machinery is working.
• Report quality issues to growing team from daily observations.
• Improve efficiency and reduce costs with cross-team collaboration.
• Create maps of what is planted and transfer data to the METRC system.
• Ensure all plants are labeled with variety and harvest number.
• Record weights of green waste in Trellis software.
• Track employee time on the time clock system.
• Coordinate PPE usage per OSHA regulations.
• Coordinate plant transfers with cultivation and logistics teams.
