Job summary

METROLINA GREENHOUSES LLC is seeking a Greenhouse Associate - Switcher Driver in York, SC. This full-time, hourly position moves trailers between docks, supports dock and labor teams, and ensures a safe, efficient workflow in a fast-paced facility.

The role requires 1+ year of switcher/OTR driving experience, strong attention to detail, reliability, multitasking ability, and fluent English reading/writing. Outdoor work with occasional indoor administrative duties is expected.

Salary Range: $18.00 To $26.00 Hourly

Supervisory Responsibilities:

This position does not supervise nor directly manage a team.

Position Summary

A successful Switcher will safely and timely move trailers from dock to dock on the facility, in a fast-paced setting. They will also support and help out the dock and other labor teams throughout the division as needed.

Physical Requirements:

• Active driver's license that allows the employee to drive in the given state

Job Setting & Physical Demands

This position is primarily outdoors but may be required to work between locations and within an indoor office environment for administrative duties, which may require the use of computers and standard office equipment. Fluency to read, write, and understand the English language is required. Must be able to work in all outdoor elements, including dust and allergens. There are occasional needs to work on scaffolding. Position requires long-term ability for standing, sitting, squatting, bending, reaching, and twisting on a regular basis to fulfill essential duties. Candidate must have the ability to operate all machinery necessary within the department and across the facility, including but not limited to driving the appropriate switcher trucks. Must have the ability to consistently lift up to 30 pounds unassisted.
