Job summary

Siemens Energy is building a new transformer manufacturing facility in Charlotte, NC. As a Process Engineer, you will shape facility setup, design efficient processes, and drive improvements across the full production lifecycle for large power transformers.

You’ll work cross-functionally to ramp up production, optimize safety and quality, and collaborate with global teams to deploy digital and sustainable manufacturing solutions in a greenfield site.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Minimum 2 years of experience in medium or large power transformer manufacturing.
• Experience in manufacturing engineering, project management, or industrial operations.
• Lean Manufacturing and/or Six Sigma certification is a strong plus.
• Experience with SAP (S/4HANA preferred) and knowledge of TPM.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a global, cross-functional environment.

Responsibilities

• Support safety, quality, delivery, and cost improvements across manufacturing operations.
• Design, implement, and optimize manufacturing processes for efficiency and scalability.
• Drive continuous improvement and standardization across production workflows.
• Leverage digital tools, automation, and sustainable practices to boost performance.
• Participate in process reviews, risk assessments, and corrective actions to reduce downtime.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support production readiness and ramp-up.
