Job summary

Mural Industrial in Apple Grove, WV is seeking a PLC Controls Engineer to design and implement new control systems from the ground up. You will develop PLC programs using Siemens Step 7 and TIA Portal, configure I/O, and build scalable architectures aligned to process narratives.

You will also integrate HMI/SCADA, verify wiring, and commission loops on-site, collaborating with electricians and controls staff to ensure robust handoff and documentation.

Qualifications

• Three+ years of hands-on PLC programming from scratch.
• Siemens Step 7 / TIA Portal experience strongly preferred.
• Ability to read electrical schematics, P&IDs, and panel layouts.
• Knowledge of NEC/IEC wiring standards and field safety practices.
• Comfort working on-site in a heavy industrial environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop PLC programs in Siemens Step 7 / TIA Portal from ground up.
• Engineer I/O configurations, data structures, and scalable architecture.
• Integrate HMI/SCADA (WinCC, FactoryTalk, PanelView) and tag databases.
• Commission on-site: wiring checks, loop tuning, turnover documentation.
