Job summary

Siemens is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer for the SieSAW operation at our Knightdale facility near Raleigh, NC. The role focuses on manufacturing capability, continuity and continuous improvement, including new product introduction and fixture design.

You will drive safety, document processes, and lead cost-saving improvements while coordinating with vendors and internal teams to support a high-quality, make-to-order power distribution equipment production environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial, Manufacturing, or Mechanical Engineering.
• 3+ years’ experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Lean manufacturing techniques.
• AutoCAD or similar.
• Experience with SAP or similar MRP system.

Responsibilities

• Improve safety for all personnel that work in and around production lines.
• Measure and document manufacturing processes to reduce errors and improve quality.
• Identify and manage improvement projects that may require capital expenditures and CAD design.
• Lead manufacturing improvements and complex process changes including training production teams.
