Job summary

Siemens Mobility in Raleigh/Knightdale, NC, is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer for the SieSAW (skid assembly) operation at a greenfield startup. You will drive manufacturing capability, continuity, and continuous improvement, including new product introductions, process improvements, and fixture design.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in Industrial/Manufacturing/Mechanical Engineering and 3+ years in manufacturing.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Industrial, Manufacturing, or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience.
3+ years in a manufacturing environment.
Lean manufacturing techniques knowledge.
Experience with AutoCAD and SAP or similar MRP system.

Responsibilities

Improve safety for all personnel on production lines.
Measure and document manufacturing processes to reduce errors and increase quality.
Identify and manage improvement projects requiring capital expenditures and CAD design.
Implement tools like Digital Work Instructions and Production dashboards.
Coordinate maintenance improvements in production areas.
Manage production line changes for new product introductions.
Design, procure, and validate fixtures, tools, and shop aids.
Define key production steps and build sequences for diverse processes.
Prepare equipment and infrastructure for changing production challenges.
Develop specifications for jigs/fixtures using takt time and capacity.
Lead manufacturing improvements and process changes with training.
