Job summary

Big River Forest Products - Vicksburg is seeking a Green End (Sawmill) Superintendent to lead safety, production and maintenance teams in Vicksburg, MS. You will manage process flow, resources and workforce to meet budgets and performance targets.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3-5 years of verifiable lumber/wood production experience.
• Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience.
• Excellent interpersonal skills – conflict management, coaching, supportive feedback, and problem solving.
• Strong mechanical and technical knowledge for a complex manufacturing environment.
• Read and interpret blueprints; Bluebeam software knowledge, CAD knowledge a plus.
• Must be computer literate, including MS Office products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Lean manufacturing/5S experience a plus.

GREEN END (SAWMILL) SUPERINTENDENT

Big River Forest Products is seeking a Green End (Sawmill) superintendent. This position will provide leadership, training, and development to supervisors & hourly personnel by managing the process flow, resources and work force to meet/exceed established budgets and performance objectives.

Environmental Conditions

• Must be able to tolerate extreme hot, humid, cold, and outdoor conditions. Comfortable working in a loud environment, around moving machinery, with vibrations and airborne particles (sawdust).
