Job summary

Henry County Water Authority is seeking a Water Reclamation Compliance Inspector to perform inspections within the Industrial Monitoring Program. Under direct supervision, you will inspect grease interceptors and oil/water separators and review records to ensure compliance with the Sewer Use Ordinance and the Clean Water Act.

Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma or GED.
• Valid Georgia Driver's License.
• Ability to lift up to 100 pounds and perform physically demanding tasks.
• Maintains cooperative relationships with customers, coworkers and other groups.

Responsibilities

• Assists in inspections and sampling of grease interceptors and oil and water separators.
• Reviews records on permitted industry operation and inspects grease/oil and water interceptors.
• Inspects the size, installation and maintenance of grease/oil and water interceptors.
• Helps with new grease/oil and water separator installation inspections.
• Accurately records inspection data into GIS-based software.
• Participates in annual inspections of septage trucks.
• Assists in surveillance of septic and FOG haulers by checking trucks and manifests as needed.
• Maintains a database of HCWA Grease Management Program customers that includes records of inspections and related requirements.
• Maintains Authority vehicles and performs safety checks.
