Job summary

JBS Foods in Green Bay, WI is seeking a Grease Recovery Operator to operate pre-treatment DAF systems and handle grease collection from plant wastewater. This 2nd shift role runs 1pm to 9:30pm and requires safety consciousness and mechanical aptitude.

You will monitor melt tank and centrifuge equipment, load grease tankers, perform basic maintenance, and support environmental compliance. Prior wastewater experience is a plus, but willingness to learn and obtain certifications is key.

Qualifications

• Experience in industrial, mechanical, or wastewater operations preferred but not required.
• Ability to work in hot environments and perform physically demanding tasks.
• Mechanical aptitude with willingness to learn and obtain wastewater certifications.

• Safely fill and load semi-tankers with #2 grease, including climbing on top of tankers when required.
• Perform routine equipment inspections and basic preventative maintenance.
• Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
• Assist with wastewater processes and support continuous improvement initiatives.
• Other duties as assigned.

Job Title: Grease Recovery Operator

Hours: 2nd shift 1pm-9:30pm

Location: Green Bay

Reporting to: Environmental Supervisor

Range of Pay $26.55-$33.05

Essential Job Functions

• Operate and monitor two pre-treatment DAF systems to collect #2 grease from plant wastewater
• Monitor and operate melt tank and centrifuge equipment
• Safely fill and load semi-tankers with #2 grease, including climbing on top of tankers when required
• Perform routine equipment inspections and basic preventative maintenance
• Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations
• Assist with wastewater processes and support continuous improvement initiatives
• Other duties as assigned

Experience Required

• Prior experience in industrial, mechanical, or wastewater operations preferred but not required
• Ability to work in hot environments and perform physically demanding tasks (climbing, lifting, etc.)
• Mechanical aptitude with willingness to learn and complete wastewater certifications
