Job summary

Darling Ingredients Inc. is seeking a Route Driver to operate a semi-truck or vacuum truck and collect animal mortalities, fat and bone, or grease from customer locations. Route material depends on plant location.

You will maintain logs, perform safety checks, and complete route tickets while upholding professional customer relations. CDL-A (tankerman) endorsements may be required by route; willingness to work nights and weekends is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• CDL A with tanker endorsements as required by route.
• Must be 21+ with clean Motor Vehicle Record.
• Must be registered on FMCSA Clearinghouse.

Responsibilities

• Collects and inspects raw material at pickup for foreign or hazardous materials.
• Maintains vehicle in clean condition and operates per regulations.
• Performs safety checks and maintains daily vehicle condition reports.
• Completes route tickets and other required paperwork daily.
• Provides excellent customer service and maintains good relations.
