Job summary

Darling Ingredients is seeking a Route Driver to operate a semi-truck or vacuum truck collecting animal mortalities, fat and bone, or grease from customer locations. CDL-A with tanker endorsements may be required depending on route.

This full-time role requires a high school diploma, a clean MV record, ability to lift up to 100 pounds, and willingness to work nights or weekends. Frequent travel to off-site locations and strict DOT logging are expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• CDL A with tanker endorsements may be required depending on route.
• CDL B license may be required depending on route.

Responsibilities

• Operate a semi-truck or vacuum truck to collect raw materials from customer locations.
• Inspect material at pickup for foreign or hazardous material and ensure safe handling.
• Maintain electronic DOT log and complete route tickets with customer signatures.
• Ensure vehicle cleanliness and perform daily vehicle condition reports.
• Uphold safety rules and regulations and maintain customer relations.
• Complete all required paperwork daily (route tickets, inspection reports, etc.).
• Work the established route and attend safety meetings as required.
