Job summary

Leprino Foods is seeking a GRD Operator Trainee at our Lubbock, TX facility. This entry-level role focuses on learning safe operation of the GRD system under supervision, with growth potential to the GRD Operator after training and certification.

Starting pay is $21.35 per hour, increasing to $23.65/hr upon certification, plus a $1 differential for hours 6pm–6am. Weekly pay is provided. The role requires on-site presence and adherence to safety, GMP, and SOP standards.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years old.
• Must be able to speak, read, write, and comprehend basic English.
• Ability to evaluate mechanical conditions and adjust as needed.
• Ability to access elevated work areas (ladders/stairs).
• Basic math skills for calculations.
• Understand and apply standard operating procedures.
• Maintain clean work area per GMPs.
• Good communication with team and shifts.

Responsibilities

• Operate the GRD system under supervision and monitor temperature, auger speeds, and product consistency.
• Perform equipment shutdowns and CIP prep; monitor chemical strengths and reassemble equipment.
• Verify blend accuracy and ensure pallets are produced, dispositioned, and compatible with the dry mixer.
• Troubleshoot equipment and communicate issues to team leads or managers.
• Assist with StartUp/Shutdown checklists and sanitation records.
• Follow safety, GMP, and SOP requirements for safe operation and quality.
• Relay information clearly to supervisors and team members, including quality findings.
• Aim for successful PSOP certification through job proficiency.
