Job summary

Coinbase is hiring a Manager, GRC to lead the Technology Risk & Controls second line advisory coverage. You will work with engineering, security, and risk teams to strengthen controls, governance, and risk decisions across critical domains including DR, SDLC, IAM, and supply chain.

You will mentor analysts, drive improvements, and report on risk posture to leadership while embracing responsible use of AI to enhance outcomes and efficiency.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in technology risk, IT controls, IT audit, cybersecurity risk, or compliance.
• Hands-on experience delivering full-stack GRC services (risk management, control design, continuous monitoring, governance documentation).
• Proven ability to mentor analysts and manage teams while delivering deadlines.
• Ability to translate complex risk concepts to clear requirements for technical and non-technical audiences.
• Experience with generative AI governance and responsible usage.

Responsibilities

• Lead second line advisory coverage for key technology and security domains.
• Partner with engineering to evaluate domain posture and identify necessary controls or governance improvements.
• Review and challenge risk and controls design to ensure scalable and effective mitigations.
• Coordinate across risk, controls, policy, audit, and assurance teams to drive improvements.
• Triage inherent and residual risk with SMEs and risk owners to support mitigation decisions.
• Enable leadership decision‑making by communicating risk tradeoffs and narratives.
• Build and coach a team of analysts, fostering agility and performance.
