Job summary

Coinbase is seeking a Manager, GRC to join our Technology Risk & Controls team within Security. You will lead second line advisory coverage across critical technology and security domains and partner with engineering to improve risk posture and governance.

You will manage a team, own advisory coverage for domains including disaster recovery, SDLC, AI, identity and access management, and supply chain, building trusted partnerships to address risks in critical functions.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in technology risk, IT controls, IT audit, cybersecurity risk, or compliance with hands-on GRC delivery.
• Ability to design controls, monitor governance, and manage risk across multiple domains.
• Proven experience mentoring analysts and delivering timely outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Lead second line advisory coverage for key technology and security domains.
• Partner with engineering to evaluate posture and governance improvements.
• Challenge risk design to ensure scalable, effective mitigations.
• Coordinate across risk, controls, policy, audit, and assurance teams.
• Triage risk, facilitate risk treatment decisions, and validate mitigations.
• Communicate risk tradeoffs to enable leadership decisions.
• Coach a team of analysts and foster a high-performance culture.
