Job summary

Weaver’s Governance, Risk, and Compliance practice seeks an Associate or Senior Associate to join the Asset Management Consulting team in a client-facing role. You will drive SOX and internal audit work for asset managers, coordinating engagements and delivering high-quality risk and compliance solutions.

Ideal candidates will have 1+ year in audit/consulting within financial services and possess strong analytical, communication, and multitasking skills; familiarity with GAAP/GAAS and regulatory

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 1+ year in audit, consulting, or the investment management industry.
• SOX experience with large financial services, investment companies, and asset managers.
• Knowledge of GAAP, GAAS, COSO internal control framework, and SOX 404.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day project management for 1–6 concurrent engagements (Associate or Senior Associate).
• Perform internal audit and SOX-related work for asset management clients.
• Assist in engagement planning, objectives, audit procedures, and regulatory filings.
• Coordinate communications with client personnel and monitor ongoing activities.
