Job summary

Simmons Foods is seeking a production batching operator to prepare gravy ingredients and supervises the batching of ingredients per approved formulas. You will read batching sheets, stage and inspect ingredients, and record data for each batch in a fast-paced production environment.

The role requires careful attention to detail, adherence to GMP, and teamwork to keep batches ahead of schedule while maintaining clean, safe work areas. English literacy is essential; veterans are welcome to apply.

Qualifications

• Read and interpret batching sheets to determine order and quantity of ingredients.
• Record lot numbers, supplier for each ingredient, and batch data accurately.
• Collaborate with team and maintain quality and safety throughout batching.

Responsibilities

• Stage ingredients and clean totes for batching.
• Inspect ingredient bags for contamination, damage or expiry.
• Batch and weigh ingredients, label totes, and stage for production.
• Maintain 15-batch lead ahead of the production schedule.
• Clean and maintain the gravy room, filtration system, and dry ingredient area.
