Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must meet in-service training requirements.
• Desire to work with seniors while upholding privacy, dignity, independence.
• Able to organize time appropriately and work with minimal supervision.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand/walk for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Adheres to dignity, privacy, independence, choice, and individuality of residents.
• Reviews resident Service Plans to understand needs and preferences.
• Reviews staff log and service notes daily for changes in needs/health.
• Provides personal services to residents as assigned.
• Assists with medications and treatments as indicated.
• Responds to emergency calls promptly.
• Maintains infection control procedures.
• Provides housekeeping to keep environment safe and comfortable.
• Encourages participation in social/recreational activities.
• Reports changes in resident needs to supervisor.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
