Qualifications

• Experience with seniors preferred.
• Experience performing care-giving tasks preferred.

Responsibilities

• Adheres to a philosophy that supports the dignity, privacy, independence, choice, and individuality of residents.
• Reviews resident Service Plans to gain familiarity with needs and preferences.
• Reviews the Staff Communication log and resident Service Notes for changes in needs/health conditions.
• Provides personal services to residents as assigned per Service Plans.
• Helps residents with medications and/or treatments as indicated in the medication book.
• Responds to calls from the emergency call system promptly.
• Demonstrates knowledge of and follows infection control procedures.
• Maintains a clean, safe environment through housekeeping as needed.
• Assists with resident and group social/recreational activities and encourages participation.
• Monitors changes in resident needs and reports them according to procedures.
• Responds to emergencies per training.
• Reports abuse to supervisors/agencies.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
