• Able to organize time and work with minimal supervision.
• Able to work well with others and as part of a team.
• Well-groomed and willing to follow dress requirements.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and possibly more.
• Able to read, write, and understand English.
• General understanding of senior needs.

Responsibilities

• Adheres to a philosophy that respects dignity, privacy, independence, choice, and individuality of residents.
• Reviews resident Service Plans to stay familiar with needs and preferences.
• Reviews Staff Communications logs and Service Notes daily.
• Provides personal services to residents as assigned.
• Assists with medications and treatments as indicated and allowed by regulation.
• Responds to emergency calls promptly.
• Follows infection control procedures.
• Maintains a clean, safe environment with housekeeping as needed.
• Supports residents in social and recreational activities and encourages participation.
• Monitors changes in resident needs and reports through established procedures.
• Responds to emergencies per training.
• Reports abuse or suspected abuse to supervisor or agencies.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
