Job summary

Intermountain Health St George Regional Hospital in Utah is seeking an experienced MRI Technologist for a 7 on/7 off graveyard schedule (21:00–07:00). The role involves performing diagnostic MRI exams, adhering to safety protocols, and delivering high-quality imaging under radiologist supervision.

The ideal candidate holds ARRT MR or ARMRIT certification, has strong patient care skills, and can work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• ARRT MR or ARMRIT certification required.
• ARRT R cross-trained in MRI is acceptable.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.

Responsibilities

• Maintains ARRT/ modality competency in clinical/technical functions.
• Ensures patient identification and prep for exams.
• Performs exams per protocol and reviews image quality.
• Adheres to MRI safety guidelines and maintains a safe environment.
• Completes studies within acceptable time without compromising care.
• Instructs students and other MRI Techs in protocols and equipment.
• Provides patient education and ensures comfort.
• Practices infection control and sterile techniques.
• Operates equipment and information systems to ensure quality images.
• Keeps accurate records of patient information and procedures.
• Follows protocols for coding, etc.
