Qualifications

• Forklift certification as required by department.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to load/unload kiln cars and handle heavy items.

Responsibilities

• Maintain kiln/furnace firing operations according to instructions.
• Take readings and keep firing within specifications.
• Restart kilns after outages and perform basic maintenance.
• Load/unload products up to 80% of the time as needed.
• Repair kiln cars by bricking, wheels, and bearings as required.
• Monitor equipment and report issues to supervisor.
