Job summary

Talking Stick Resort in Scottsdale, AZ is seeking a Heavy Duty Kitchen Steward (Full-Time) to support a fast-paced Food & Beverage operation. The role cleans dishes, pots, pans and utensils and keeps the kitchen areas organized for smooth service.

The ideal candidate has at least 6 months kitchen experience, a valid Maricopa County Food Handler's card, and strong English skills. This position requires standing for long periods, lifting up to 50 pounds, and Graveyard shift work in a busy resort

Qualifications

• At least 6 months kitchen experience preferred.
• Must have a valid Maricopa County Food Handler's card.
• Ability to read, write, speak and understand English strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Does all ware washing and maintains a clean dish drop zone.
• Washes pots, pans and related items and maintains a clean organized pot sink area.
• Puts away all washed and dried items in their respective locations.
• Maintains proper chemical levels and stocks back-up chemicals when necessary.
• Uses kitchen equipment as instructed to insure safety and proper care of equipment.
• Removes trash to outdoor dumpsters and maintains cleanliness of trash receptacles.
• Breaks down cardboard boxes and removes to designated area.
• Sweeps and mops the floor as instructed by the Shift Supervisor.
• Deep cleans kitchen and respective areas as instructed.
• Cleans and organizes shelves, walk-ins, storeroom and back dock area.
• Maintains cleanliness of designated areas as directed in accordance with safety standards.
