Job summary

Maple Springs Tree Service LLC is seeking a highly skilled operator with a strong background in gravel mining and gravel pit operations. The ideal candidate will have run a concrete batch plant and know how to install and operate it.

This hands-on role requires operating loaders, bulldozers and backhoes while ensuring safety protocols are followed at gravel pit sites, and interacting with MSHA/DEC officials.

Qualifications

• Proven experience with a valid CDL required.
• Familiarity with MSHA and OSHA regulations for gravel mining sites.
• Proficiency operating loaders and other heavy machinery.
• Strong mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot equipment issues.
• Extensive gravel pit operations experience required.
• Ability to perform manual labor as needed.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate loaders, bulldozers, and backhoes in pit areas.
• Ensure compliance with MSHA and OSHA safety standards at all times.
• Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of equipment to ensure optimal performance.
• Collaborate with team members to plan and execute projects effectively.
• Maintain accurate records of work performed, equipment used, and materials handled.
• Assist in training new operators on equipment operation and safety procedures.
