Job summary

The Colorado Trust, based in Montbello (Denver), is seeking a Community Organizer to engage local leaders and mobilize residents to build power and advance health equity.

You will identify community leaders, train and support them, coordinate meetings and actions, and collaborate with the community partner to leverage Colorado Trust funds for community goals. Frequent travel and evening/weekend work are required.

• Willingness to travel regionally and statewide, with evening/weekend work.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain trustworthy relationships with people living in the community.
• Engage with community members affected by health inequities to understand issues.
• Identify community leaders and help them join others for systemic change.
• Support residents to develop skills and confidence to drive change.
• Coordinate participation of leaders in meetings, trainings and actions.
