Turo’s Government Relations team works to create the policy conditions that allow peer-to-peer car sharing to thrive and our community is at the heart of how we do it. We believe that real stories from real people move lawmakers more than anything else. The Grassroots & Community Relations Manager will help bring those stories to life, help build relationships in the communities where Turo operates, and activate Turo’s community of hosts and guests as advocates for peer-to-peer car sharing policy across the country. This role sits at the intersection of grassroots advocacy, community partnership, and policy communications — and it requires someone who is equally comfortable executing a digital advocacy campaign and building a relationship with a local community organization. You are a strong writer who can translate complex policy issues into clear, human language. You have good instincts, sound judgment, and the ability to move fast without cutting corners. You are quick-witted, intellectually curious, and down to earth. To succeed in this role, you are willing to try new things and can manage numerous projects with tight deadlines. Things happen quickly at Turo, and to do great work, you need to be an enthusiastic team player who can work cross-functionally to deliver results.
For this role, the target base salary range in San Francisco is $121,000K - $151,000K annually. This role is also eligible for equity and benefits. In general, our ranges reflect the market-based target for new hire salaries based on the level and location of the role. Within the range, individual pay is determined by objective factors assessed during the application and interview process, such as job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Turo highly values having employees working in-office to foster a collaborative work environment and company culture. This role will be in-office on a hybrid schedule – Turists will be expected to work in the office 3 days per week on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays.
