We are currently seeking a Production Supervisor for our busy Graphics Department.

Roles & Responsibilities

Supervise the day-to-day workflow and output of the Graphics Department, prioritizing, assigning projects and tracking production including domestic and foreign labels, shrink seals, sample packs and other graphics projects.

Communicate with internal Graphics team including Artists, Designers, Proofreaders, Prepress, Bindery and Pressmen regarding jobs that are needed and due dates. Communication with all internal departments regarding gathering job information and due dates. Traffic jobs from R&D to artist to proofreaders to QA approval to prepress to print. Traffic jobs for Exports dept to artist to proofreader to export for customer approvals to printer's proof approvals.

Communicate with vendors regarding proofs, priorities and delivery dates. In charge of all printer's proof approvals.

Critique and tweak design ideas for new products, product redesign, ads, etc.

Order Graphics Department supplies.

Develop procedures, forms, tracking systems, excel spreadsheets to improve efficiency.

Maintain filing system for printed material archives.

Resolve production workflow issues as they come up and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Physical Requirements: Lifting up to 10 lbs.

Qualifications

Prior experience as a graphics production supervisor a plus. College Degree. Industry experience a plus. Knowledge of layouts, graphic fundamentals, typography and print production required. Knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign and Acrobat required. Prior FDA label regulation experience preferred. Must have strong attention to detail. Strong MS Office skills required.
