Job description

Graphic Design Intern — Sallee Productions

New York, NY

About Sallee Productions

Sallee Productions is an experiential events production and design agency based in New York. We work across the US and Canada. We produce brand activations, product launches, press previews and private events for clients ranging from global retailers to premium hospitality brands. We handle every stage, from the first moodboard to the last case loaded out of the venue.

The Role

We're looking for a graphic design intern who is self-motivated, hardworking, resourceful and energetic, and who wants to see their work printed, installed and experienced in real spaces. You'll work with our designers and producers on live client projects from week one. That could mean building a pitch deck for a new brand or laying out step-and-repeat and signage files for print. You'll also resize a hero graphic into twelve formats the day before install. This role is for someone who sweats the details and keeps their energy up when the deadline moves up.

What You'll Do
  • Design and lay out client pitch decks, moodboards and concept presentations
  • Create event graphics: signage, wayfinding, menus, place cards, invitations, name badges and social assets
  • Adapt a brand's identity across print, digital and environmental formats while staying true to its guidelines
  • Prepare print-ready files to vendor specs (bleeds, dielines, color profiles, large-format) and help check proofs
  • Help build simple 2D layouts and mockups showing how graphics will live in an activation space
  • Keep our design files, brand assets and templates organized
  • Join on-site installs when possible to see how the work translates in person
Who You Are
  • Self-starting: you don't wait to be told what's next, and you ask good questions when you're stuck
  • Resourceful: if the font license, image or template you need doesn't exist, you figure out a workaround
  • Hardworking and dependable: when you say a file will be ready by 5, it's ready by 5
  • Energetic and open to feedback, including a third round of revisions
  • A strong eye for typography, layout, hierarchy and color. You notice when kerning is off on a headline.
  • Proficient in Adobe Illustrator, InDesign and Photoshop; Figma, Keynote/PowerPoint or Canva is a plus
  • Interest in luxury/premium brands and spatial or environmental design is a strong plus
  • Currently studying, or recently graduated in, graphic design, communication design, visual arts or a related field
Details
  • Duration: December 22 2026 - possibility to extend
  • Schedule: Minimum 3 days in office, preferred 5
  • Paid
