Job summary

Smurfit Westrock is seeking a hands-on production support worker to perform quality audits, verify job completion, and document results on the production line.

You will learn to operate make-ready equipment, monitor carton quality, maintain materials, and complete reports while upholding safety rules and housekeeping standards.

The role requires following SQF and safety policies, using basic measurement tools, and supporting continuous improvement through documentation and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Ability to read basic measurement devices (calculator, tape measure, ruler).
• Willingness to learn and operate testing devices (Chatillon, Mettler PM 480, Fluke thermometer).
• Pallet jack certification is a plus.
• General mechanical aptitude and basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform and document quality audits and verify job completion.
• Understand job sheets and check specifications to carton, make-ready machine.
• Monitor carton quality and maintain materials for production.
• Complete necessary reports, maintain housekeeping to standard, perform line clearance.
• Adhere to department manager directions and safety rules.

This role can include Feeder Packer, Graphic Utility, Sheeter Assistant, Delivery Operator, and/or Aerator.

The Opportunity:

Perform and document quality audits, verify job completion, understand job sheet. Check job specifications to carton, learn to Make-ready machine, monitor carton quality, maintain materials for production, complete necessary reports (forms), maintain housekeeping to standards set by management, complete line clearance and additional job duties as assigned by department manager.

Compliance with all workplace rules, policies and procedures, i.e. SQF, safety, etc.

Protective Equipment Required: Safety glasses, ear plugs, Appropriate Gloves, Safety Shoes, Hair and Beard net if applicable, Bump Caps if applicable and Level 7 Sleeves if Applicable

What You Need to Succeed:

• Pallet jack certification is a plus
