Job summary

Piworld is seeking a Graphics Production Supervisor in Saint Augustine, FL. You will lead a hands-on graphics team, manage art, design, and printing operations across multiple platforms, and coordinate with Marketing and Production for timely project delivery.

Responsibilities include pre-flight, file prep, and vendor coordination, with opportunities to contribute to new product development and production efficiency improvements. A strong background in a fast-paced shop is required.

Responsibilities

• Direct supervision of art/design, print production and finishing across platforms.
• Oversee inbound art, creation, and corrections in-house and via outsourcing.
• Coordinate with Marketing on collateral production (print/web/e-mail).
• Lead pre-flight and graphics development through completion.
• Schedule and supervise graphics department personnel and workflow.
• Coordinate maintenance and service for equipment; assist new product development.

Graphics Production Supervisor

Description

• This is a direct hands-on supervisory-level position managing art and design, print production, and finishing across multiple platforms.
• Includes management of inbound art, art creation, and correction both in-house and outsourced
• Platforms include laser engraving, laser cutting, flatbed and roll-fed UV digital printing, CNC routing, dye sublimation, and outsourcing of both print and graphic design
• Direct management of pre-flight as well as some graphics creation and development through completion as the project requires.
• Direct supervision and scheduling of graphics department personnel and workflow.
• Coordination and cooperation through the Production Manager with other manufacturing departments for the timely completion of projects.
• Coordination as requested with the Marketing department in the development and production of marketing collateral materials, including print, web-based, e-mail, and other media as necessary.
• Direct responsibility for file preparation, file uploads and organization, vendor communications and coordination.
• Coordination of equipment maintenance, both internal and through service providers.
• Work as necessary in the development of new products, refinement of existing products and continual production efficiency improvements, including time management and recordkeeping.

Requirements

• Successful individual will have a proven track record in a fast-paced manufacturing environment managing a multifaceted graphics department. This is a hands-on position. Experience managing a successful sign shop is a plus.
• Strong familiarity with Adobe InDesign and Illustrator preferred, and Microsoft Office, including Excel and Word
• Hands-on experience with digital production printing equipment and CNC programming.
• Ability to manage multiple and changing priorities
• Clean driving record
• Salary commensurate with education and applicable experience.
