Job summary

Long Beach Community College District is seeking a Graphic Design Specialist to support Public Affairs and Marketing with digital and print design, creative development, and graphic file management. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in creative/graphic design, fine arts, or related field.
• Minimum 1 year of creative/graphic designing for a public agency, advertising agency, or client-side advertising department; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• California driver’s license may be required, plus ability to maintain insurability under the District’s vehicle insurance policy
• Application experience detail: work experience listed must include all recent and relevant experience (including volunteer or unpaid work when directly related)
• Application response quality: responses must be clear and concise; incomplete or unclear responses will not receive credit

Responsibilities

• Design and layout digital and print publications
• Develop creative concepts for multiple uses and a variety of audiences
• Create, design, and produce informational materials for print and electronic distribution and/or visual display
• Plan and design layouts for weekly and monthly electronic and print publications
• Provide professional creative and graphic design services to support the District’s communications efforts
• Manage and maintain a graphic file library, including final approved documents, photographs, logos, and artwork
