Job summary

Palomar College is seeking a Graphics Specialist to design and produce a variety of print and digital materials that align with the college branding. The role supports instructional, promotional, and informational projects across departments from the San Marcos Campus.

The incumbent will prioritize work, estimate costs, and may coordinate with outside vendors. Demands include occasional night/weekend hours and collaboration with the Communications/Marketing team.

Qualifications

• Two years of professional graphic design experience.
• Education: Associate’s degree in graphic arts, visual communications or related field (transcripts required).
• Ability to substitute education for experience per district guidelines.
• Recognition of equivalency guidelines for classified positions.

Responsibilities

• Develops and creates graphic designs, layouts and treatments for print and electronic materials.
• Plans aesthetic presentations for diverse audiences and ensures ADA accessibility.
• Coordinates with faculty and staff, including outside vendors, to deliver on-time, on-budget graphics.
• Prepares files for printing and manages final approvals with vendors.
• Maintains current graphic standards and production processes.
