Job summary

The Marketing and Communications team at Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary seeks a part-time Graphic Designer (student role) to conceive and develop visual graphics for publications and campaigns, both digital and print. You will work closely with the Associate Director of Design and the team to produce fresh, on-brand visuals.

Responsibilities include designing original graphics, assisting with layout and production, and collaborating across departments.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of graphic design experience.
• Proficient with Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign.
• Ability to work under deadlines and collaborate with the team.

PURPOSE OF THE JOBThis job exists to conceive and develop visual graphic designs for Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary and Judson College through publications and campaigns, both digital and print media, working closely with the Associate Director of Design and the rest of the team.II. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIESDesign original digital graphics and print materials in accordance with brand guidelines for use in advertising, marketing, internal communication, website use, social media, etc.Assist with production of design and layout of seminary publicationsWork closely with other team members in a collaborative atmosphereDevelop striking, original and forward-thinking visual elements and layoutsFollowing the lead of the Associate Director of Design and his/her goals, while keeping up with guidelines providedIII. OTHER DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIESHelp oversee finished production of projects while working with outside vendorsSupport-level participation in important campus events such as conferences, Southeastern Society and Board of Trustees meetings, etc.Attend certain meetings with other internal offices or external clients to better understand projects and assist in the development and realization of marketing and communications strategiesAssist director and Associate Director as neededIV.
