About The Role

ARES is seeking a Multimedia Graphic Design Specialist to create strategic communications and visual assets for the NASA Strategy Division Innovation and Change Lead. This role focuses on designing marketing campaigns, digital graphics, and managing social media content to support NASA’s internal and external communication objectives.

The position requires collaboration with NASA stakeholders and team members to ensure design work aligns with organizational goals and branding standards while maintaining accessibility compliance. This role offers remote, hybrid, or onsite work options, with travel to the nearest NASA Center required for badging and equipment issuance.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver visual assets including infographics, digital flyers, reports, and presentations
• Support content layout and design for intranet/extranet pages, including OneNASA and NASA.gov
• Create eye-catching graphics, images, and icons to enhance websites and social media profiles
• Continuously improve website designs based on user feedback and current design trends
• Enhance digital experiences through user experience support and development of microsites and SharePoint pages
• Analyze Organizational Change Management strategies to develop graphical communications
• Ensure all content and visuals are 508-compliant and consistent with NASA and OCIO branding guidelines
• Collaborate with customers and team members to conceptualize and execute design ideas
• Produce original digital artwork and perform media edits based on feedback
• Manage and proof multimedia content across various platforms
• Develop communication plans using SharePoint, videos, newsletters, and official notices
• Organize and manage digital content and materials utilizing SharePoint and Microsoft Teams
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Mass Communications, Electronic Media, Graphic Design, or related field
• Minimum 8 years of multimedia design experience with proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects)
• Strong knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
• Experience with industry-standard tools such as Final Cut Pro and video editing software
• Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 suite and SharePoint
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Ability to generate innovative graphic ideas suitable for multiple platforms and formats
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage time effectively under tight deadlines
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience with NASA or Federal Government contracts
• Adobe Certified Professional (ACP) or Graphic Design Specialization
• Creative problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail
• Ability to accept and implement constructive feedback
