Job summary

LJA, an employee-owned firm, is seeking a Graphic Designer in its Marketing team to drive proposal graphics and visual communications. You’ll collaborate with designers, technical staff, and project managers to translate complex information into clear, persuasive visuals.

Bring a strong portfolio, advanced Photoshop/Illustrator/InDesign skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects to meet tight deadlines.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of professional graphic design experience in a corporate/consulting environment.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating print, digital, presentation design; portfolio must be submitted.
• Advanced proficiency in PowerPoint for polished presentations, diagrams, infographics.
• Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong branding, typography, color theory, layout, and visual hierarchy.
• Ability to transform technical content into clear, engaging client graphics.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and time management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
• Proven collaborative attitude and ability to take feedback across teams.
• Attention to detail and commitment to high-quality work.
• Experience developing multi-page InDesign documents (proposals, reports).

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with designers, staff, proposal coordinators, and PMs to define project goals.
• Develop graphics and visual content to communicate complex technical information for proposals and marketing materials.
• Own design projects from concept to final delivery, ensuring branding consistency.
• Translate diverse perspectives into graphics supporting proposal strategies.
• Manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail.
• Think strategically about design assets across business units and initiatives.
• Contribute to a collaborative team where feedback is valued and continuous improvement is encouraged.
• Stay current with design trends and software capabilities to bring fresh ideas.
