Job summary

Olson Kundig seeks a Graphic Designer to create visual materials for business development and communications. The role reports to the Marketing Manager, Business Development, and collaborates with the visual media, business development, and communications teams, plus firm leadership.

This is an in-office role based in Seattle, WA or New York, NY. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented with strong typographic and layout skills, and a passion for architecture and the built environment.

Qualifications

• 4-6 years of graphic design experience in print, digital, and web graphics
• Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, or related field
• Strong design, typographic, and layout skills with ability to organize complex content visually
• Experience with image and video editing and retouching
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro, After Effects, Bridge, Lightroom)
• Familiarity with digital asset management systems such as OpenAsset, and print production processes a plus
• Excellent organizational and time management skills for multiple projects in a deadline-driven environment
• Interest in architecture, design, and the built environment
• Self-driven, adaptable, collaborative, and able to take direction from multiple levels
• Experience with WordPress and vendor coordination a plus

Responsibilities

• Design and produce proposals, statements of qualifications, portfolios, and case studies for competitive pursuits
• Develop interview presentations, display boards, and pursuit collateral in collaboration withBD
• Create diagrams, maps, and information graphics to communicate project ideas
• Maintain and update proposal templates and graphic standards for consistency
• Design graphics for award submissions, lectures, publications, media kits, and reports
• Create social media graphics, email communications, and newsletters including animation/video assets
• Support presentation materials for firm leadership including video editing
• Contribute to books, exhibitions, and environmental graphics
• Upload, tag, and organize digital assets in the DAM system
• Support photoshoot coordination and post-shoot image selection
