Job summary

SEARHC is seeking a skilled Graphic Designer to serve as the organization’s primary visual design resource. You will create patient-facing, employee-facing, and organizational communications, ensuring consistency with SEARHC’s visual identity across materials and platforms.

You will manage brand standards, develop templates, and guide departments on proper usage, while supporting systemwide campaigns and internal communications with accessible, high‑quality design work.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communications, Marketing, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Demonstrated portfolio showing print, digital, and brand identity work.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop).

Responsibilities

  • Design a wide variety of print and digital materials, including patient education materials, brochures, posters, signage, event materials, templates, and digital graphics.
  • Translate complex healthcare information into visually engaging communications.

In addition to designing materials, this role serves as a steward of the SEARHC brand, ensuring visual consistency across the organization. The Graphic Designer will manage brand standards, oversee the development and maintenance of templates, organize creative assets, and provide guidance to departments across the consortium on proper brand usage. We offer generous benefits, including retirement, paid time off, paid parental leave, health insurance, dental, and vision benefits, life insurance and long and short-term disability, and more.**Key Essential Functions and Accountabilities of the Job**Graphic Design & Creative Production* Design a wide variety of print and digital materials, including: + Patient education materials + Brochures and rack cards + Flyers and posters + Facility signage + Event materials + Presentation templates + Recruitment marketing materials + Internal communications assets + Digital graphics for web, email, social media, and intranet platforms* Translate complex healthcare and organizational information into visually engaging, easy-to-understand communications.* Ensure all designs align with accessibility, readability, and brand standards.* Support systemwide campaigns, service line marketing initiatives, executive communications, and community engagement efforts.Brand Management & Governance* Serve as a primary steward of SEARHC's visual identity.* Maintain and continuously improve the organization's visual brand guidelines.* Review and advise on branded materials created by departments across the consortium.* Ensure consistent application of logos, typography, photography, color palettes, iconography, and design standards.* Recommend updates to brand standards as organizational needs evolve.Template Development & Management* Develop, refresh, and maintain a comprehensive library of branded templates.* Create easy-to-use templates for presentations, flyers, newsletters, reports, signage, forms, social graphics, PowerPoints, and other common materials.* Partner with internal stakeholders to identify needs and improve template usability.* Establish quality control processes that ensure templates remain current, accessible, and on brand.Digital Asset Management* Organize and maintain the department's digital asset library.* Develop naming conventions, folder structures, and governance standards.* Ensure logos, design files, icons, and templates are properly stored and accessible.* Maintain version control and retire outdated assets.Internal Consulting & Collaboration* Provide design guidance, coaching, and support to employees creating branded materials.* Partner with marketing, communications, HR, clinical teams, operations, and leadership to meet organizational communication needs.* Help build a self-service design ecosystem that enables departments to create approved materials while maintaining brand consistency.* Support print procurement and vendor coordination as needed.**Education,** **Certifications, and Licenses Required*** Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communications, Marketing, Fine Arts, or related field; or equivalent experience.* Demonstrated portfolio showcasing print, digital, and brand identity work.* Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop).**Experience Required*** 3+ years of professional graphic design experience.**Experience Preferred*** Experience managing brand standards or design systems.* Experience creating enterprise-wide template libraries.* Experience with Canva Enterprise, Monday.com.* Experience working in healthcare, nonprofit, tribal, government, or mission-driven organizations.**Knowledge of*** Strong understanding of typography, layout, color theory, and visual hierarchy.* Knowledge of accessibility best practices for print and digital communications.* Understanding of how design supports communication, engagement, and organizational goals.**Skills in*** Excellent organizational and file management skills.* Strong visual design and creative problem-solving skills.* Exceptional attention to detail.* Strong written and verbal communication skills.* Strong customer service orientation.**Ability to*** Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.* Ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders.* Ability to build systems and processes that improve organizational efficiency.**Required Certifications**:*If you like wild growth and working with happy, enthusiastic over-achievers, you'll enjoy your career with us!*
