Job summary

Kimley-Horn in Philadelphia is seeking a Graphic Design Intern to support our team with document design, layout, and presentation graphics. This role offers hands-on experience, mentorship, and exposure to exhibits and renderings for various projects.

The ideal candidate is pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design or related field, with working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite and strong teamwork and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Working toward a Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Marketing, or related major within 12–24 months.
• Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat Pro).
• Experience with Microsoft Office on Windows.
• Strong design and layout skills with attention to typography.
• Team player with strong written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Support developing document design/layout, presentation graphics and exhibits.
• Create renderings and custom print pieces for various projects.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure high-quality visuals.

Overview

Kimley-Horn is looking for a Graphic Design Intern to support our team in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania (PA)!The ideal candidate will be proactive, detail-oriented, and possess strong organizational skills, while also demonstrating the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Our interns benefit from hands-on experience, technical training, and mentorship opportunities. As a valuable addition to our team, you will support developing document design/layout, presentation graphics, exhibits and renderings, custom print pieces, and more.

Qualifications

• In progress of obtaining a Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Marketing, or a related major within the next 12-24 months
• Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, illustrator, Acrobat Pro)
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook) on Windows operating system
• Excellent design and layout skills
• Working knowledge of typography
• Ability to work in a team and collaborate with others
• Strong attention to detail and dedication to professional quality
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
• Travel (driving) to other offices within the region as needed
