Job summary

Alaska SeaLife Center in Seward, AK invites applicants for a paid Graphic Design & Communications Apprenticeship onsite. You will work with the Marketing and Communications team to strengthen branding through written and visual content for educational initiatives and community projects.

The role supports educational content creation, newsletters, digital platforms, and collaboration with CORaL Network and Education Department. Housing included; start 10/5/2026, end 4/30/2027.

Qualifications

• Portfolio including graphic design and writing samples.
• Additional communications skills (video, photography, social content) encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Assist in producing graphic designs and written content for outreach and education.
• Develop content for digital platforms, including email campaigns and social media.
• Create print materials such as workbooks and visuals for events.
• Collaborate across departments to align branding and learning goals.
• Maintain an organized catalog of visual assets for the Center.
• Produce well-written copy free of errors.
• Support educational and communications projects as assigned.
