The South Carolina Department of Corrections is seeking a highly skilled grants professional to coordinate and support grant development and management activities. The role researches and identifies funding opportunities and develops comprehensive proposals with budgets to secure funding.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business administration, public administration or social sciences.
• Ten years of experience in business administration or social sciences with contracts and grant administration.
• Prefer five years of proven experience in formulating, writing, editing and submitting grant applications.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate grant development and grant management activities for the agency.
• Research and identify federal, state, and local funding opportunities aligned with missions and programs.
• Develop comprehensive grant proposals including narratives and budgets.
• Collaborate with agency leadership, divisions, project directors, and FIN on proposals.
• Work with accounting, general counsel, procurement and external partners to assess needs and ensure timely submissions.
• Provide ongoing technical assistance and support through the grant lifecycle, including expenditures, budget monitoring, and closeout.
