Job summary

The State of South Carolina is seeking an experienced Compliance/Grants Administrator to oversee administrative, financial and technical direction for faculty and staff pursuing external grants. You will ensure adherence to sponsor and University policies and manage federal and non-federal awards end-to-end.

Responsibilities include identifying funding opportunities, coordinating proposal planning, monitoring expenditures, reporting, and training staff on budgetary and compliance matters on-site

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business administration, accounting, public administration or related field; experience in contracts and grant administration activities.
• Master's degree preferred with 5+ years in oversight of contract and grant administration activities; both federal and non-federal awards.
• Knowledge of Land-Grant University System and history, policy/regulatory awareness, and ability to communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Identify grant funding opportunities and coordinate proposal planning and award documentation.
• Monitor sponsored expenditures, oversee subrecipients, and ensure compliance with award terms.
• Prepare monthly grant status reports and communicate budgets to PIs and funding agencies.
• Stay current with federal research/compliance requirements; conduct trainings on financial matters.
• Draft correspondence and produce reports or other written materials.
