Responsibilities

The Grants Officer 2 is responsible for researching, writing, submitting, and tracking grants to support Community Health System's programs and services. They will seek government, corporate, and foundation grants to raise critical funds that benefit patient care and support fundraising initiatives throughout our health system. They will open new pathways of giving for the Office of Philanthropy. Through thorough and timely reporting back to grantors and warm stewardship, they will also aim to increase the number of repeat grants secured.

Qualifications

Education

• High School Diploma, High School Equivalency (HSE), or Completion of a CHS Approved Individualized Education Plan (IEP) Certificate required
• Bachelor's Degree or higher preferred

Experience

• At least 2 years of grant and/or fund-development experience with a proven record of fundraising success or demonstrable experience securing grants of $25,000 or more
• Experience securing seven-figure state and federal grants is preferred
• Grant writing and/or fundraising experience in healthcare is preferred
• Successful experience in project management, major grant fundraising, and campaign leadership roles is preferred
