Job summary

University of California, Davis seeks an experienced finance administrator to lead extramural planning, budgetary analysis, forecasting, and post-award processes for the Civil & Environmental Engineering department. You will independently gather and apply financial data and university management mechanisms to ensure accurate budget construction and complex grant control.

Qualifications

• Completed Research Administration Certificate (RAC) or ability to obtain within two years from appointment.
• Bachelor's degree in related area and/or equivalent experience/training.
• Experience in financial analysis, forecasting and strategic planning to analyze fiscal and budgetary issues and compiling financial data and reports.
• Experience in federal, state, and private grant budget preparation based on narrative plans and designs, analysis, and forecasting to control complex budgets and with financial reporting policies.
• Experience recognizing and responding to cost-recovery, invoicing, accounts and payroll issues.
• Experience providing leadership and decision making to solve problems and evaluate business needs with critical thinking and data analysis for meaningful solutions.
• Interpersonal and communication skills to interact with Dean’s Offices, campus departments, PI’s, CAO, staff, and students to ensure compliance with policy.
